Welcome to my blog!
| Loredana Denicola | Art and Therapy Blog |

I’m Loredana Denicola, a multidisciplinary artist and social documentary photographer, specialising in photography as therapy and exploring themes of sexuality, love, the mind, prejudice and gender equality. After working in the corporate world and studying Economics, my life took an unexpected turn when, in 2009, I found an old Praktica 35mm camera in a grey bag on the streets of London. From that moment, photography became my tool for self-reflexion and creative expression. Through my lens I tell intimate stories that focus on social issues and the healing power of art, merging visual storytelling with personal transformation.

This space was born from my desire to share thoughts, experiences, and small daily inspirations. Writing is a way for me to observe the world more attentively, to slow down, to listen to myself - and perhaps, to create genuine connections with those who read.
Here, you will find personal reflections, life stories, emotions, curiosities and insights into photography as a therapeutic tool. I’m not seeking absolute truths, but moments of truth. I share experiences and projects that emerge from the intersection of art and therapy, through photography, video, and writing. My work aims to open a dialogue about often-taboo topics, offering an authentic, intimate, and non-judgmental perspective on human experience.

This blog is the natural extension of my artistic work: a space to delve into the stories behind the images, explore new ideas, and connect with those who, like me, believe in the transformative power of art and its ability to encourage healing and self-discovery. This space is for those who seek an authentic look at the inner and relational world, and for those who believe that art can also be healing. If you feel like it, come back every now and then. And if you’d like to leave a comment or a thought, it will always be welcome.
Thank you for being here.
