"To go West" is an autobiographical film that describes the director's life, from her birth to her reconciliation with her father's country of origin, Cameroon.
This search for reconciliation runs through all episodes of a life between Africa and France. From the loss of reference from her youth, to the awareness of the need to discover the missing part of her father's culture, Violaine takes us through the streets of Cameroon, camera to the hand, in a film that highlights all the elements of a magical healing object made communicable by cinema.

Stéphanie, finally I am me, a woman
Forth video-interview from the video-photographic project The Theatre of the Mind. This project alternates a body of photographic images with a series of seven videos. The terms sex and gender are used to distinguish biological identity from gender roles.
The person with gender dysphoria experiences a radical fracture between ego and body, which is seen as a stranger and, therefore, is rejected and unloved.
She/he does not recognize herself/himself either in his own phenotypic sex or in his own body. It is the whole person who suffers because of the conflict within herself/himself.
