The poetess is a piece from the I am your mirror photography project, a black-and-white series created through encounters with people met online or on the streets of London.
 
This project explores themes of identity, connection, and therapeutic release. For this series, I deliberately relinquished control over a key element of photography by working exclusively with natural light and using only analog cameras. Establishing an empathetic connection with some subjects was not always easy.
 
This artwork reflects the harmony between the human form and nature, capturing vulnerability, introspection, and timeless beauty. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the serene and poetic quality of the composition, inviting viewers to reflect on themes of connection, freedom, and the profound simplicity of existence.
