This body of work explores the layered themes of love, sex, and human connection. Rooted in my own lived experience - navigating a multi-ethnic London and the emotional turmoil of an abusive relationship - it offers an intimate lens on vulnerability, self-love, and resilience.
The project developed organically through spontaneous encounters with strangers, combining interviews with deeply personal black-and-white portraits. Each image opens a window into the raw and often unspoken dynamics of intimacy, fear, and societal expectation.
Shot using a medium format Mamiya 6x7 camera and Ilford black-and-white film, the tactile aesthetic invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect—both with the subjects and with themselves.
