
Intensive workshop at Lab Creation: 'photography, practice and identity'

On 22 and 23 February 2020 at LAB Creation - Mesagne, I organized the intensive photography workshop entitled 'Photography, practice and identity'.
Photography as a therapeutic art for the subject and the photographer.
I asked the participants (Nunzio, Agnese, Licia, Francesco, Andrea, Antonella, Davide and Roberta) to choose between two options: taking a self-portrait or using the photographic medium in a non-invasive way, letting the photographed subject express their inner self.
I pushed them to get to know each other, and ask more intimate questions to the other using empathy to enter and understand the complex inner universe that belongs to all of us.
Everyone has developed the theme it in their own way.
The approach of some was introspective, that of others a little playful ... or embarrassing almost silent.
They worked in couples. Only Agnese wanted to be alone.
Below are some pictures of the backstage I took with my cell phone while they were working and I was very curious looking at their way of approaching the other.
We used Lab Creation's space to take pictures, so there were limitations and only natural light was used.
